I was born and raised in Porterville, CA. As a local builder and developer, my father exposed me to many different side of real estate from a very early age. I graduated from Monache High School and headed down to sunny San Diego to pursue my college degree. In 2001, I graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with honors and moved back to Porterville to begin doing loans for Country Club Mortgage. Shortly thereafter, I pursued my Real Estate Broker’s license with the intent of opening a real estate brokerage. My husband David and our four children and I came to the Porterville area four years ago from Southern California. I had been homeschooling our three oldest and kept a small town. (I went to H. S. in Castaic, when it was a small town.) So we came out here on July 4, 2003 and bought the first we saw (no regrets, don’t recommend it). It was a fixer and I pretended to be the general contractor (no regrets, don’t recommend it). I got tired of waiting for people to show up, so I taught myself to do a lot of the work myself. I am a self proclaimed mud queen. My friends have told me that they were inspired to do the work themselves on their projects because they saw what I did.
